What's new

What has changed in patscenar.io, newest version first.

Version 1.15

  • Report

The report opens with “At a glance”: tiles and cost bars for the four routes. Charts also appear with the costs and in the Word export, and the assessment briefly explains the result instead of listing figures.

  • Form

The bar with “Back” and “Next” rests on the footer once it comes into view. On short pages both sit at the bottom, with no gap between them.

  • Website

patscenar.io is now the address of the tool. Bookmarks to neu.patscenar.io, www.patscenar.io and to pages of the old application take you to the right place automatically.

  • Access

The “Sign in with passkey” button is recognizable as a button again. Without a passkey sign-in, the admin area leads to the Security page and says there what is missing.

Version 1.14

  • Website

The start page says what patscenar.io does and for whom, and shows the four filing routes with one pro and one con each.

Version 1.13

  • Website

The “Request an offer” page has the new layout.

Version 1.12

  • Website

New start page: a chart compares the four filing routes for four country selections, and the six steps lead straight into the example.

  • Website

Larger text in all six steps, a clearer step bar (compact on phones) and a calmer layout with one main action per step.

  • Form

Conversation puts the invention first and the priority year beside it; a new consultation is created as you start typing. The questions count through, and the overview is a table.

  • Form

Countries shows the ranking with the quality per country, and Scope fits on one screen. The comparison sets the routes side by side in a table, and the report shows its status in one line.

Version 1.11

  • Form

The comparison shows right away what the money is spent on and when what is due; all routes share one euro scale, and each total appears once.

  • Form

A new consultation is entered once and leads straight to the first question. The priority year appears as a timeline, and in the list as a label with the days left.

  • Website

Less text on most steps. In the example, a small "Example" label replaces the explanations on each page, on phones the countries step shows the result and the globe first, and the help page is live.

Version 1.10

  • Form

The questions now guide you step by step: first collect the countries, then one card per country, with an overview of open answers and a preview of the points per country.

  • Website

Countries, Scope, Comparison and Report follow the same layout; every entry is saved at once, and the pages stay clear on very wide screens too.

Version 1.9

  • Report

Reports are now also available in English; the report language is set per consultation in the Report step. The example is in English in the English view.

  • Fees

New fee rules for the EPO, the Unitary Patent, DE, FR, AT, GB, CH, US, JP, KR and CN compute claim tiers, renewal fees by due date and reductions more precisely; each country shows its quality class.

  • Form

In the Scope step, patscenar.io asks who is filing: applicant type, SME, place of business and license of right; reductions are included only if they apply to the applicant.

Version 1.8

  • Fees

Fees of 15 more offices updated, including Italy, Portugal, Bulgaria, Morocco, San Marino, Israel and Thailand; an AI checked every changed figure against the source.

Version 1.7

  • Fees

Russia is no longer in the fee table and can no longer be selected for new consultations.

Version 1.6

  • Form

In the Conversation step you can now go on to the questions without a title of the invention; your entries are saved on the way.

Version 1.5

  • Fees

Fees of 45 offices have been updated from the current official fee schedules; an AI checked every changed figure against the source.

Version 1.4

  • Fees

The fee table is now visible only after signing in, to members of an organization with a valid license.

  • Report

The strategy report text is in German even when you use the English interface; PDF and Word files are fully in German. Country names and spacing in the report have been cleaned up.

  • Website

New: this page listing the changes, and the version number at the bottom of every page.

Version 1.3

  • Form

The questions about the DPMA search and examination requests are now worded clearly: “Yes” means the request has already been filed, and the official fee is not counted again.

  • Website

The start page now speaks to everyone who has filed a first application at the DPMA, including PATLIB centers outside Germany.

  • Website

The imprint, privacy policy, terms and conditions and accessibility statement are online and linked at the bottom of every page.

  • Website

A new logo in the header, and a preview image when you share a link to patscenar.io.

Version 1.2

  • Website

A clickable example: without signing in, you can walk through all six steps of a consultation for an invented company.

  • Website

A new, short start page explains what patscenar.io does and leads to the example.

  • Form

In the Conversation step, the service is now called patent filing strategy consultation.

Version 1.1

  • Website

The interface is now also available in English. The DE/EN switch is at the top right of every page.

  • Fees

Euro-PCT: if the EPO was the International Preliminary Examining Authority, the reduced examination fee is now taken into account.

Version 1.0

  • Website

Customer pilot begins: advisers at the PATLIB center take a consultation through six steps, from the conversation to the report.

  • Fees

Fee rows checked by an AI agent carry the label “AI-checked”.

  • Report

On request, the AI writes a first draft of the report text; the figures always come from the calculation. Released reports are available as PDF and Word.
